The Monterey Peninsula Water Supply Project received California Coastal Commission approval in November of 2022. The California American Water team continues to work on satisfying the conditions of approval associated with the Coastal Commission Coastal Development Permit.

This effort is expected to take about two years with construction activities anticipated in late 2025.

Work continues on design revisions and value engineering for all project components, including modifications to the well field, conveyance pipelines, and the desalination plant facility, based on the phased project. READ MORE
